Workplace Mental Health Training in Scotland

First Aid for Mental Health training goes further by developing the confidence and practical knowledge needed to approach someone, start a supportive conversation, provide appropriate initial support and signpost them towards professional help.

The most suitable course depends on the employee’s role and level of responsibility. The FAA SCQF Level 4 Award provides an accessible introduction, while the Level 5 Award is designed for people who may provide initial support. VTQ Mental Health in the Workplace courses also offer flexible awareness and support training for employees and workplace teams.

The FAA First Aid for Mental Health Leading SCQF Level 6 Award is designed for supervisors, managers, team leaders and those with responsibility for workplace mental health provision. FAA First Aid for Mental Health qualifications are normally valid for three years. Learners should undertake appropriate refresher or requalification training before their qualification expires.
