First Aid for Mental Health and
Workplace Mental Health Training Scotland
Vital Signs Scotland provides accredited First Aid for Mental Health and Workplace Mental Health training for individuals, businesses and organisations across Scotland.
Our training ranges from introductory Mental Health Awareness courses through to regulated FAA First Aid for Mental Health qualifications at SCQF Levels 4, 5 and 6, alongside practical Mental Health in the Workplace VTQ courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3.
Courses are designed to help learners recognise signs of mental ill health, start supportive conversations, provide appropriate initial support and understand when and how to signpost someone towards professional help. Training can be delivered for workplace groups across Scotland, with classroom and distance-learning options available for selected qualifications.
Mental Health Training for Workplaces
Effective workplace mental health training gives staff the confidence to recognise when someone may be struggling and the skills to respond appropriately. It can also help organisations develop a more informed, supportive culture in which conversations about mental health are handled sensitively and without stigma.
Vital Signs Scotland provides training suitable for employees, designated mental health first aiders, supervisors, managers and those with responsibility for leading mental health provision within their organisation. Different qualification levels are available depending on the learner's role and level of responsibility.
